RP Comfort Meme
A valuable meme for any role-player!
Come display your comfort levels so your role-play partners are aware of what they can do, and of what they should avoid! A healthy relationship between role-play partners is the key to a good time!
While this meme shows the basics, please remember to communicate with your role-play partners!
Role Play Basics
Locations
I am comfortable doing:
- Comment: I like comment rps a lot but I don't really do them very often since most of the groups I do are chat based.
- Chats: Heck yeah hECK YEAH fun, free, and easy. 99% of my roleplays today are in chat

Notes: Haven't done one in years but they're p similar to comment rps so
- Forum: I have never used a forum in my entire life so most likely no sorry...
- Skype: Same with notes haven't done one in awhile but I can still do them
- Google Docs: If someone asked I'd be up to it but also being able to see all my mistakes in a post before it's done terrifies me lol
- Other:
OOC/Headcanoning/RP Planning Methods:
(hc = headcanon, which is essentially saying our charas will do a thing/have done a thing without actually RPing it out in depth necessarily)
- Skype: HECK YEA that way I can see it sooner and we can go back and forth quicker
- Google Docs: Not rly used to google docs for that stuff tbh so nah
- Notes: Not preferred but I can do it!!
-Twitter: Y es that's literally where 90% of my oc rambles/headcanons go anyway
Participants
I am comfortable with:
- One on one role plays.: My fucking bread and butter tbh I really like being able to focus on two characters growing together
- Up to three people.: Heck ye small groups are a blast
- Up to four people.: Trial teams. Otherwise I'm good with that many people for casual stuff too!!
- Five or more people!: I start to get a bit lost here but if asked I can do it, just. expect an accidental snipe more often than 4 or less groups
- As big as possible!: Again if I was asked I would but I wouldn't exactly initiate it myself because hoo boy that is a lot of people.
RP Style
I am all right with:
- Lit/Para: Been focusing on this more so heck yee
- Script:Yeeee
Post Length
I usually write about:
- One or two sentences.: I love meme posts and that's usually what I do tbh
- One or two paragraphs.: I can v easily get into a roleplay though and try to be fake deep with my character's thoughts and stuff.
- Two to five paragraphs.: Idk if this has happened to me yet but time will tell :iconitisamysterplz:
- More than five paragraphs.: I think at this point I'd run out of descriptive words I can use so most likely not
- A few pages worth.: Same as before but also just oh my g od.
I am comfortable role-playing with people who write:

Role-play Requests
I like getting requests from:
- Anyone and everyone at any time!: This mostly only applies for the groups I'm in since I sorta know the people in them not for random comment rps or s/t sorry friends....
- When I ask for role-plays.: Pls I am a lonely meme who likes ocs...
- From friends and acquaintances.: Usually always down to do this anywhere if asked unless I'm not feeling up to rp at ALL
- From friends only.: Corrections:
I am comfortable getting corrections when:
- I missed something in your/someone else's post: pLEASE do I mean I'm awful and usually notice RIGHT when I send the post but if I don't feel free to.
- I missed something about your/someone else's character: Pls
- It's realistic/factual: Pls like unless it's a fantasy thing in a fantasy setting, but if it's about realistic parts of that then yee
- Other: If I mess up on something it's no big deal to go back and fix it so pls tell me!!
- Never:
Expectations:
I expect my RP partner to:
-Have read my character app before we RP: I'd honestly prefer this because that way you can kind of see bit of how my character will react to things so it's not a complete shock.
-NOT read my character app at all before we RP: But of course you can't really read everyone's profiles for every rp so honestly it's cool if you don't feel up to it. It's more or less just a little insight to how things might go down like a warning almost I guess???
- Read as much of my character app as is reasonable to go on before we RP: Mostly just for skills/stat stuff for rv things if it's needed. Also just visual references/general traits for casual rps is good if you want to mention it in the post.
- Read more of my character app as it becomes relevant/necessary: Honestly this only applies to when something happens in an rp and you wanna see anything behind it like why it's happening or how.
Romantic Relationships
** Important: Communication is the key to a real life relationship, it shouldn't be abandoned for a fictional one either! Be sure to talk to your partners when considering romance!
Shipping
I am comfortable shipping my characters:
- Never.: Only never when the character in question I don't want to ship.
- Our character know each other deeply.: This is super important for most cases tbh but
- Our character know each other deeply, and I know I can trust the role-player.: Yeah I've. Kinda has trouble with shipping in the past with ocs and stuff mostly because of ooc issues so a little bit of trust in the other person is rly needed rip...Tbh it's not too hard to get this like everyone I basically talk to has it to begin with it just gets lost after stuff happens.
- At the first sign of flirting!: N ooo....noooo. There are flirty characters who flirt with everyone that is not a good enough reason for me to ship something tbh...
- Only if the role-player and I plan it.: I really do like planning for ships before they actually become a thing like before they get together because it can kinda help see where they'd actually get along and how they would work and also that means we can plan dates and how fucking head over heels in love the ocs will act when they're alone with their thoughts.
- It depends on the character.: Tbh this is the most important part because there are ocs I don't want to ship and there are ocs that are very prone to falling in love and some that take a lot of time to open up.
If you want to ship with my characters:
- Talk to me about it from the start.: I've done this in the past and there's def cases where it helped/worked but a lot of other times it didn't and I'm leaning more towards the lower options since some ships are good in theory but actual personality/rping wise they don't so rip.
- Talk to me about it once our characters know each other.: It really depends on what you mean by know each other because do you mean first meet because that's not rly good enough 99% of the time?? If it's like. They've met a few times and become good friends first then yee.
- Talk to me about it once they both have some feelings for each other.: Please do if your oc does get feelings because then we can discuss it and plan if it looks good!!
- Talk to me about it when they finally decide that want to go beyond hugging.: I'd honestly prefer if it was done sooner than this but I know some ocs are very touchy feely so this could just be normal for them so it's okay then!!
Speed
When shipping my characters, I like the romance to happen:
- Swift as lightening!
- Fast, but not super fast.
- Happens in about three months.
- Slow and steady wins the race.
- Slugs know what's up!
- My relationships know no speed. They happen if they happen.: hONESTLY any of the above can happen. It really does matter on the ocs and how it's portrayed and discussion of it. I do enjoy it being a little faster than usual since I'm a sucker for fluff but slow burns are so good too....
Smut
When my characters gets intimate, I prefer:
- To skip the act entirely.: 
Tfw ur a sex repulsed ace and honestly don't wanna think about how it'd go down even with fictional characters.
- To write the build up, but skip the act.
- To write the act only if it is very special, but otherwise skip it.
- To write the act all the way through.
Romantic Artwork
When it comes to artwork depicting our relationship please:
- Do not post it at all without talking to me.: I 100% like seeing wips of stuff so if u wanna sure
- Post it if it is cuddles and hugs. YES
- Post it if it is kisses. YES - Post it if it is much more. It depends on how much more ur talking about but YES USUALLY

- Do not post it where I can see it, but draw what you like!: NO I WANNA SEE IT....
Dramatics
** Important: Always be sure to communicate with your partner individually if you think you are about to go outside their comfort zones even just the slightest bit!!
Violence
When it comes to violent situations, I am comfortable with:
- No violence at all!
- I'm fine with verbal arguments!: I have a lot of oc who just get into verbal fights all the time so yee
- Some violence, like a paper cut, or an accidental elbow to the face.: Go ahead ;0c
- Mild violence, such as punching, kicking, hair pulling.: Heck yea
- Violence, such as stabbings.: Fucking destroy my ocs tbh
- Beyond violence, such as torture and more.: the word torture gives me bad vibes tbh so no.......
If you are going to do something violent, please:
- Don't do it at all.
- Talk to me about it first.: Please talk to me if it's something that would injure my character a lot like stabbing or breaking their bones or stuff like that since it can v easily get in the way of?? Plans and stuff. Like as long as you ask I'm usually down with it.
- Surprise me!: UNLESS HOWEVER this is a fight like boss battle bc that's kind of the point of those lol. Also stuff like punches or elbowing or small things is a-okay all the time so go ahead mdude
Dramatic Artwork
- Do not post any dramatic scenes that that happened between our characters.
- Talk to me about it before posting!: I wanna see those sweet wips dude
